Services and Pricing

Audio Mastering:

Typically includes audio level, dynamics, and equalization adjustments; noise removal; fades/crossfades; and track sequencing & spacing. The mastered material can be used to generate a CD Master, and/or to cut a Lacquer Master for vinyl pressing.

Attended Sessions (band or representative at session):
$125 per hour (2 hour minimum, around 6 hours is typical for a 40-minute, 10-song album)

Unattended Sessions (tapes or files are dropped-off or sent-in):
$75 per 5 minutes of material to be mastered (15 minute, or $225, minimum charge)
So, a 40 minute record or CD will be mastered for $600
(Typically, for unattended sessions, one sample song will be provided online for approval of level, eq, etc. One reference CD-R will be provided for approval of spacing and fades. Additional revisions made at the normal studio rate of $125/hour.)

Compact Disc:

Also includes UPC/ISRC number & CD-Text encoding. Production masters available in Redbook CD-R or DDP-image formats. Additional data (Enhanced CD features) may be added as well. Charges for this service are dependent upon how well prepared the data is. Please ask for more information

CD Masters:
$50 for PMCD with error report and PQ sheet, or DDP image file on DVD (or uploaded to CD plant).

CD Reference Disc:
First ref CD-R for approval of mastering, spacing, and fades is free.
$10 each for any additional reference CD-Rs.

Vinyl:

Flat-cut includes material load-in, spacing, cutting time, and cost of lacquer blanks. See lacquer pricing below for flat-cuts.
Session rates apply for any additional audio mastering work needed (see rates above).

Lacquer Masters:
12" — $175 per side
10" — $140 per side
7" — $120 per side
(Additional charges may apply for excessively long side times, click vinyl button for more info.)

Lacquer Reference Discs/Dub Plates:
12" — $75 per side
10" — $60 per side
7" — $50 per side.

Mixing Time (for picture, surround, other digital mixing jobs):

$60 per hour

Shipping costs:

Shipping costs are billed at actual cost (plus packaging if necessary).

Payment:

Full payment is required before we will release your master.
We accept Cash, Check, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, and Wire Transfer. When using PayPal, there is an additional 4.25% added to the total to cover PayPal's fees. An additional charge of $25 applies to wire transfers to cover bank fees incurred.
